I believe that in times of doubt, when I am only able to experience and question, I will grow in depth.

I believe in tears, shed from both sadness and joy, for tears are an extension of my humanness, when even words are too small to express my feelings.

I believe in love and freedom of self, freedom to share my uniqueness with others.

I believe in risks and challenges which call me to be "real" without being crushed and stifled.

I believe in love which is given away from myself will always come back.

I believe in friends and family and community and prayer: all forces which hold me together as a unified person.

I believe in joy, which arises from my centre and allows me to experience fully all that has been given to me.

I believe in God: God’s great care for me, God’s comfort, God’s understanding, and God’s love for me, despite my failures at times to respond to God and others.

I believe in hope, which causes me to know that, through God, all things are possible.

I believe in life, the miracle of being, which is mine for all eternity.

I believe in promise, the promise of God’s presence within life to guide me in all I do.
