FINDING FORGIVENESS...

In Loving Memory Of
CHARLES DAN HALL
January 31, 1967 to July 17, 2006

The vision of *God's spirit is the vision of innocence. It is not our job to forgive whom God has not condemned, but rather to remember that the God of Love condemns NO ONE.

God heals us through forgiveness and asks that we forgive Charlie likewise. Condemnation is an easier response than forgiveness, and that is why we are so tempted to give into it. Throughout our lives, we have seen more anger than examples of true forgiveness.

Forgiveness does not mean we suppress our anger; Forgiveness means that we have asked for the miracle; the ability to see through the mistakes that Charlie made -- to the truth that was in his heart.

We must be willing to see the spirit, the light of his soul. Charlie as he is now, whole, healthy, healed and at peace. He has made his way to this end of his dark journey, then we can all begin the journey to a deep and unshakeable peace.

Forgiveness is not always easy, I know, believe me. At times it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the wrongs we felt. And, yet there is no peace without forgiveness. The first step is the willingness to forgive, I have that in me now, do you?

*God in whatever form you believe him to be.
