To you, Christopher, his only Son, his only beloved Child, we say this: if we could have done anything to keep you and your father close to you, we would have done it unhestitatingly. It is our deepest sorry that he is not here now. It had always been his greatest desire to be the father to you that he knew he should be.

And yet, let us testify to the fact that your father had a compassionate and loving heart. In good times your father was a wonderful man. He was loving and strong and brave and good. And his spirit will be with you forever. He will be the angel that watches over you and a force of love that always protects. His spirit will forever remain with us.

Although you were left without him as a father on earth, truly you have two now, in heaven. He loved you and so do we.
