Chadwick Family Update

Halloween 2007

We just recently realized, after hearing from SEVERAL of you, that we have not updated our site since Thanksgiving? Sorry about that. As usual, time seems to go by way too fast.... We hope that everyone is enjoying a beautiful spring, as we are here in Camden.

So where to begin..... Let's see...We spent a quiet and very WHITE Christmas here at home. Aunt Kate and Uncle D shocked us all with a very generous gift - the Wii.... Of course we are ALL now completely addicted to the thing. Even Carl's residents are using it as part of their rehab therapy? Speaking of snow, we had QUITE alot of snow this winter. I think the final tally was up around 100 inches total, so yeah, you better like it if you live here. Jack took full advantage of all that white stuff as he learned how to ski at ski camp this february during winter break. He loves it and I have to say it was both exciting and scary as hell to see him flying down Ragged Mountain on his very first day. I know where we'll be on weekends next winter....

We had so much snow, that unfortunately for Jack, he had to go to school on a recent Saturday, which he actually thought was "the coolest thing", getting to ride the bus on a weekend. Not sure his tired teachers would agree with him on that one. He'll be in school till the 20th. Jackson is still trying to decide whether to be a 1) bus driver, or to 2) to take Ryan Seacrest's job on American Idol...Hmmmmmm....

Mason loves his preschool, Peopleplace, which he goes to 3 days a week. He has become quite the little ladies man, and has, according to him, "11 girlfriends, but I'm going to marry Ally Morse" (sorry Pam).... Look out, all you baby mommas out there, as you may want to keep your girls away from him in about 10 years. We may have to lock him in his room during puberty....But at least he is sure enough in his manhood to not be afraid to carry around a gold lame purse every day he is at school (thanks Heather!). Mason also has an obsession with pretending he is a cop - he has metal handcuffs and a police uniform that he uses quite frequently - he says he is going to "lock up all the bad guys, and put them in jail". Look out Eric Estrada....

Our house has been quite LONELY lately, with only ONE visitor- Carl's parents. They were able to come in April, during a nice spring (mud season wasn't so muddy this year) break for a change. They are looking at condos about 20 minutes north of here, which would be so great for the kids to have family nearby. Who knows - perhaps they'll start a trend and MORE family will follow? Hint Hint?

In March, Carl was able to fly down to MD to meet the BC boys at Comcast for a Terps game. While he was only in town for a brief amount of time, he had great fun, and was able to see family and his beloved Terps.

Carl and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary in May - where did the time go? We were able to spend one quiet night alone at the Dailey's beach house down in Owls Head. It was so nice to get away, if only for one night....

Jack's 8th birthday is in about 2 weeks...The big SHHHHHH surpise is, that thanks in part to the grandparents, we're taking him/Mason to see our beloved Sox at Fenway in September! He's going to flip out... Seeing it every night on tv is one thing; but being there with all those awesome fans is quite another. Can't wait.....

As for summer plans, the boys are both enrolled at camp, Carl and the boys are meeting Carl's parents in the Berkshires for a few days (Sue says - all the ladies come over for hot tub/cosmo parties every night?) and we are really looking forward to seeing our friends from Maryland, the Martin's in July. Then in August, we are going to Martha's Vineyard with the Daileys, which will be an absolute blast.

So we have LOTS of room, and would love to have more visitors... So please give us a call, or send us an email. Please stay in touch and keep us updated on your lives... We miss our family and friends from away. Take care and have a great summer! Love, The Chadwicks
