Swimming is a great sport that can be done by yourself, with someone or with a team. I personally enjoy swimming in a club with other people but I do swim by myself sometimes. In swimming there are four main strokes; Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Frontcrawl. Most swimmers call these strokes Fly, Back, Breast and Crawl.

There is also an event called I.M. in which all four strokes are used in one race. Each stroke has a different turn, start, finish, and technique. Most pools that you swim in can be different lengths, such as 25m, 33.3m and 50m, although the normal length is 33.3m.

When swimming competitively there are different events such as 33.3m (but it depends on what length the pool is and if it is a 25 or 50m pool, then it would just be called one length) 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m 1500m.
