If you plan on making a caddy, here is the pattern:
Pattern for Pet Caddy
*All materials will be supplied*
These should be included, but if not:
Cut from fabric: 1 back, dimensions: 24”x13”
Cut from ribbon: 2 handles, dimensions: 8” long each
Cutting Diagram:
Next: Turn the large piece of material so that wrong side of the fabric faces you. Fold 1” of the top and bottom toward the center. Iron. Sew them down as shown. Now it should look like this:
Then: Keep the wrong side of the fabric facing you. Fold the material in half so that the edges meet (see below). Sew down the open side. Now you should have a tube.
After that: Sew the bottom shut, still keeping the wrong side out.
The next step: Adding the handles. The caddy is still inside out. Take one of the pieces of ribbon you will use as a handle. Pin one end onto the caddy, as shown below. Twist two times so that you have the shape shown in the drawing. (This helps the carrier.) Pin the other end down, trying to keep the handle as symmetrical as possible.
Now: Sew down by either sewing in a U-shape (left), or simply sewing back and forth in a line (right).
Repeat for the other handle, trying to line them up as best you are able.
Flip the caddy right side out, and admire your work.
Now you’re done! YAY!!! Thank you for completing a wonderful project!
Thank you all for helping make Project: Pet WAKK a success!
