Ignior Clan

The Ignior Clan, a branch of the race of Stone Dwarves, have endured centuries of hardship and emerged as a tough people lead by the most honorbound lords. What they lack in agility and mobility the Ignior make up for with their technology. Catapults are at the heart of any Ignior offense or defense, and with good reason. Living in the foothills of mountains the Ignior have delved deeper with their mines than any race before and discovered exotic minerals highly valued by other races. Dwarves are the very essence of stout, appearing as a diminutive human but lacking nothing in strength and a significant advantage in durability. Unlike most races in Norfidia, new generations of dwarves are created by being carved from stone and animated in a complex ritual. Though young dwarves are indistinguishable from flesh, after a century a dwarf's joints become increasingly stiff and he eventually reverts to stone. Unlike more common Stone Dwarves, members of the Ignior Clan possess a tried and true resilience against magic.
