Sunflower Sour Cream/Spread

1 Cup raw sunflower seeds

* 1/2 to 3/4 cup hot cooked brown rice

Water: boiling hot, enough to cover over Seeds and rice by 1 inch

1/3 cup lemon juice

1 tsp. salt

* 1 tsp. Onion Powder

* 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder

* 1/4 tsp Stevia

* 1 - 2 Tbsp. Nutritional Yeast

* Optional Ingredients

BLEND all ingredients until very smooth.

ADD water as needed to make desired consistency.

* Excellent to use for substitution for Mayo spread, Ranch Dressing, dip, or sour cream. The rice is not necessary in this recipe, however, I add it to cut back on the fat concentration from the seeds. Vary the amount of lemon to your preference, and experiment with various seasonings for different flavors (such as dill).
