INSOMNIA/SLEEP
-Tape a kidney bean snugly to the inside of your right wrist 3 finger widths below the crease. You will not be able to stay awake.
-Drink lemon balm and passionflower tea before retiring to encourage deep restful sleep.
-Eat oysters and clams for dinner.
-Drink catnip tea- 1 teaspoon catnip leaves steeped in 1 cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Sweeten with honey.
-Consciously relax each body part starting with your toes.
-Place a cut raw onion under your pillow.
-Bring 1 pint of white wine just to the simmer point. Remove from heat and add 1 heaping tablespoon of dill seeds. Cover and steep for 30 minutes. Drink 1 ½ cups lukewarm before retiring.
-Drink red clover tea sweetened with honey before retiring.
-Yawn repeatedly before retiring and when in bed hold the tip of your tongue behind your lower teeth.
-Eat 1-2 ounces of carbohydrates 20-30 minutes before bedtime. (Increases tryptophan)
-Listen to the same restful music over and over. It will become a sleep cue for your subconscious.
