WHO IS GRAMMA ROSE?

Gramma Rose was born in a simpler time in rural Colorado into a family that was close to the earth.  Childhood was filled with hiking in the Rocky Mountains, swimming at the old swimming hole in the river that ran past the family home and generally just a great investigation of God’s creation.  School was 2 teachers and 6 grades, the proverbial country school.  Meals were wild meat and fish, locally grown fruit and the great things from the garden.  Health was not a consideration.  It was a given.

By the time college rolled around the seed for a lifelong interest in natural health and nutrition had begun to grow.  Living in vastly different parts of the country, under many conditions, widened the perspective of how people who are close to the earth learn ways to take care of their own and their animals health concerns.  First the Northwest, where a great love of the ocean blossomed.  Home again to Colorado to start a health food store.  But the Ozarks called with a back to the land move that became a real adventure.  No conveniences - no indoor plumbing - no electricity- hard times, but good times.  Three homes were built from scratch.  The first was a stone  house.  The second was a post and beam home and the third a log home.  Various farm animals were raised and tended including cows,  chickens,  pigs,  ducks, turkeys, goats,  rabbits,  bees, and of course dogs and cats, and a family.  But Colorado still called in the quiet of the heart.

The Rocky  Mountains were a coming home.  The job of raising 9 children was successfully  accomplished, including an engineer, a Dr. Of chemistry, an Economist, 2 business owners and some still in progress.  Free time allowed a return to former interests.  After 40 years of studying nutrition it seemed  time to share some of the knowledge.  Gramma Rose’s  Home Remedies  was born.  Hopefully the information  here will make your life better.
