And
now, the time has come, and I must face, the final curtain...Yes, all good things must pass, and so it came that late on the Sunday afternoon weary bodies were urged to cram that last bit of dirty washing into the carrier bag, ready to head back home. We had been cold and wet at times, lacking in sleep and had lost one of our number to stomach ache, but I think a good time was had by all.

Thanks
must go to all those who made it happen - the team of Su, Miss Kent, Ms
Ambrose and Sam
who kept a constant eye on things and also did sterling work in the
kitchen.
Thanks too to all those of you who went, and gave us no problems (well not many). And where is everyone now? One happy hiker went on to become a navigation officer in the Merchant Navy; two who spent time in the woods now work with trees - one planting, the other cutting them down; and finally, a girl who spent a lot of time that weekend helping the two teachers now has plans to move into geriatric care... Oh, and the teacher who complained about other people's children keeping him awake until 1 in the morning now has two of his own, and gets even less sleep than he did then. |
