Padworth Common is south west of Reading, near to the village of Mortimer. It can be reached cross country from Crowthorne. The log cabin is owned and operated by the YMCA based at Parkside Rd, Reading. If anyone is thinking of going back for a nostalgic revisit I can recommend the food at the Royal Oak just round the corner (see PH on the map)
