| For many, the prom was the
highlight of the Edgbarrow social calendar. In fact, it was probably the
biggest social gathering in Crowthorne that year, outsizing even the
nighttime gatherings on the Rec.
Right: Don't worry ladies, if you don't pull tonight there's always 'Macbeth'. |

Weeks were spent discussing and choosing outfits, organising hairdressing appointments, even shopping for the correct undies. The girls went to similar lengths too. |

| After a couple of hours of dancing and a pick at the buffet, the year group split into two camps - those collected by sheepish looking parents and whisked home in the family Mondeo, and those heading off to the aforementioned rec, trashing the High Street on the way. Only the staff remained to pile up the chairs, sweep the floors and collect the odd fag end from the toilets. |
