Ok so ya wanna know how all pilots get the cool colorsand names?...well ill help ya out here......Depending on what OS you use, windows 98, me, 2000, xp,..etc. will depend on how easy this will be, I will try to make it as general as i can to accomodate all the differing OS's. First off I will explain how to create colors, this is very basic so dont get all worked up about it if your new to game hexing. Ok on american standard key boards if you look in the upper left hand corner of your keyboard you will see a key above the TAB key that has the `~ symbol on it, find that key and familiarize yourself with it open your game and get into novaworld game where your able to text chat. Now press T to text chat, then hold------ SHIFT -----and press the `~ key you will notice that a ~ symbol shows up, Now press any number 1--0 (1=bright green, 2=bright red, 3=drk green, 4=bright yellow, 5=blue green, 6=grey, 7=drk blue , 8=drk red, 9=lt blue, 0=white. ....tab after number alters color) And type your text message and it should appear in color. After you have this down its time to move on to the name color and hexing. Look in the bottom left of your screen and select the START button, scroll up till you see SEARCH, select FOR FILES OR FOLDERS, then do a search for NOVALOGIC and select search now, Once the search is done open the Novalogic folder and look for your f22 file. Now you will see a few looking files find the one that specificaly says L3.ini like the one above. Once youve found this open it up and scroll down until u see PLAYER NAME "" , Now inbetween the "" marks is where you will be placing your callsign so click between the two like so "I" , Now using your newfound color typing skills describbed above do the Hold -----SHIFT---- press ~ , release and a number 1--0 depending on the color you want. (NOTE: any time you want to change a color do the Shift ~ number thing) now you have your color set so lets open A character map utility (you will find a useful character mapping utility on our DOWNLOADS AND USEFUL UTILTIES LINK....) After youve got this utility open click on the letters you see to make your name in your desired fancy!....when your done right click and highlight the name youve made and copy it....then return to your l3.ini file we were just at ( PLAYER NAME ""), now paste the name you made after the color ie. ("~6I") Now look in the upper right hand corner if this folder and select FILE then SAVE,......Now close everything down saving all of you info....IMPORTANT TO SAVE IT!!
