Payment Methods

 

1.  By Telephone

You can open a PPS account with a bank ATM card at any of the PPS terminals installed at the Inland Revenue Department and the outlets of those merchants who have joined PPS. With a PPS account, you can pay business registration demand note with a tone phone. As the Business Registration Certificate Number is different for every year, every bill must be registered before payment is made. Please dial 18011 for bill registration and 18031 for payment. The merchant code for the Inland Revenue Department is "10".

2.  By via Internet

   You can pay via a personal computer at any one of the following websites or through other Internet banking services :

   In the Electronic Services Delivery (ESD) website, please select the Treasury's "Payment of Government Bills" service. Apart from personal computers, you may also reach the ESD website on public information kiosk.

3.  By Bank ATM

  You can pay by bank ATM. Both the HSBC / Hang Seng Bank and the JETCO ATM networks are providing the service. Simply bring along your business registration certificate no. to any of those ATMs with the "Bill Payment" signage (for the HSBC/ Hang Seng Bank network) or the "JET PAYMENT" logo (for the JETCO network) and pay by selecting the "Bill Payment" function.

4.  By Post

- The cheque should be crossed and made payment to "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region" or "The Government of the HKSAR". Write the business registration certificate number on the back of the cheque.

- Enclose the business registration certificate with the cheque and send it to the Inland Revenue Department, G.P.O. Box 132, Hong Kong. Please do not staple the cheque and the business registration certificate together.

- If you do not receive the receipt within three weeks, you may call our Postal Remittance Office at 2594 3151 for enquiry.

5.  By Person

   You can pay business registration fee at any of the following Collection Offices by cheque, cash or EPS :

Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

   To save your queuing time, we have installed cheque deposit box in the Payment Office. Payments dropped into our cheque deposit box on or before the due date will be regarded as having made on time.1
