Begun!
I've started on the first story of Ammidorn.
It's called The Toxulip, revolves around an extremely poisonous plant. Could be fun with the thieves/magician's guild. Muaha. Anyways, I'll keep the site updated.

New idea
Mindrash-
This rash is the result of an infectious spore which sometimes is released into the air by the Clairaudioth plant. Only about one infectious spore is released by this plant per year. If someone is infected by this, once the rash has been there for 2 days (no remedy known yet) the victim begins hearing voices (some believe this rash gives the victim the ability to hear other people's thoughts on an extremely amplified level), and in most cases have gone insane. This spore is under research now in the Averycian Laboratories in Ammidorn. (The Thieves/Magician's guilds are working in a collaborative effort to learn to either control this rash, resulting in mind reading ability, or apply it to weapons like a poison, which infects anyone pierced/slashed by the weapon)

Clairaudioth Plant-
this plant thrives in extremely sunny areas where it can be in constan sunlight. At night it emits a flourescent blue/green glow which can be seen from quite some distance. researchers have yet to find any use for this plant, but are currently researching it at the Averycian Laboratories in Ammidorn.

New Ammidorn Race!
Here's a little idea I'm thinking about putting into the whole story. Credits to James for helping me come up with it.

These Telepathic fish look much like sharks, only half the normal size of sharks. Their fins have neon blue streaks on them, which is how you can tell these fish from normal sharks. They live in the water system of Ammidorn (which, might I add, is quite humongous, consisting of thousands of tunnels and passages), and hoarde their gold in secret areas. The estimated amount of gold that these creatures have is around forty three million gold pieces, more than even the Treasury of Ammidorn, though only by ten million or so.
These creatures speak telepathically to whoever bothers to try to communicate with them, often insulting the people and splashing them. These fish are very snooty and stuck up, probably because they know they have more gold than anyone in Ammidorn. Other fish steer clear of the waters near and inside Ammidorn, which makes the city bad for fishing. Their telepathic abilities are dangerous as well, if one is injured or angry, it's call of pain or anger is agonizing to any beings near it (humans and animals included), often causing blackouts or temporary deafness.

Excerpt-
This is what I'm going to try to build off of. It's kind of a pilot for the rest of the story, an intro if you will.
--------------------------------------------
An old man hobbled in the door.
His gray hair and beard frizzy and out of order. He was dressed in robes, upon the front a strange emblem.
(I had the emblem made, but it won't show up right on here so use your imagination :))

Black and forest green robes, these were that he wore. On his head rested an old wide brim hat, a faded black color. He clutched his gnarled, brown lacquered walking staff and walked as if his legs had lost all enthusiasm over moving ages ago. Crystalline blue eyes looked around the room.
A small one room cabin, this was, with no furniture or candles. No anything, except for the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. On the floor in the center of the room rested an emblem identical to the one upon the man's robes. He walked to it with a grim expression on his face, and tapped it twice with his staff. The emblem split and revealed a niche in the floor.
Intense green light shone from the nich, where the mans eyes rested (in spite of the bright light) upon a
stone. Shaped somewhat like the emblem upon the floor and one on the man's robes, it looked to be an
emerald. The man reached down and lifted it into his hand, examining it. The light faded as the gem left the niche. Within the confines of the emerald, dark black smoke swirled about in a fashion much like a dragon would fly.
A deep sigh escaped the man's mouth, and then he spoke in a scratchy voice...
"Stone of the Seer, I wish to see. The future is near, I wish you to show me."
The smoke within the stone thinned.
A voice eminated throughout the room as the smoke within the stone swirled in a thin spiral...
"What is it you want to know, tell me this and that I shall show."
"I see our future as a dark age, I fear the coming years. I hope that you shall tell me what will happen so that I might be able to aid in stopping it." the old man said.
"Sit, Seeker of the Unknown," the voice began, growing stronger and deeper "Here is thy knowledge."

The voice continued "In years to come bad things will happen. Tomorrow, a child will be found in the forest. Abandoned by all, but someone will take him home. This child is not a child at all, but a plaguebringer which shall start it. Upon his neck they will notice a rash. The boy will deny anything they say about it. At the age of Twelve the rash will grow and become more. It will become the boy. After the Plaguebringer releases it's disease, it shall die, yes... it shall. The family which cared for the 'boy' shall be found dead within their home. And the investigators will carry it on to their homes, so on and so forth. The plaguebringer's disease will not stop until there is nothing to stop it. And then all will be dead."

The old man moaned and held his head. "I feared it would be this... a plaguebringer... awful... Stone of the Seer... can you tell me how to stop this?"

"It can only be stopped by those who stop it."

Groaning the man replaced the stone in it's niche and the swirling smoke thickened again. He began heading home, thinking rapidly.

The following days were dark.
