Solid play yet another close one
Well, I played fairly well this week, just couldn't get enough birdie putts to fall. My 74, 70 fell short by two shots to continue playing the last two days. The course was in good shape and I hit the ball well. A few more birdies would have done the trick. Looks like we have next week off and then we play here in Prattville. I'm looking forward to that. To see the results of the tournament or my score card, click on the tour link to the left and follow the RTJT Series. Hope everyone is well and I'll talk to you soon.

Made the cut
There we go, now we're back on track. Made the cut of the second tournament but it wasn't by much. Even though after the first two days I was not in the top 36 percent of the field, I made the cut because of the 10-shot rule: all players not in the top 36 percent of the field after two days can still make the cut as long as they're within 10 shots of the leader(s). So after 36 holes the leader was at 141 (-3) and I was at 151 (+7). A cold front went through and made the playing conditions rather difficult for the rest of the tournament. With solid play the last two rounds, I was able to jump past a few guys and finish t11th and get in the money.

Our next stop is Greenville, Al, which is about 50 min south of Prattville (where I'm staying). This course is one of the best on the RTJ Trail. You can click on the tour link to see the results of the last tournament. Once on the page, scroll down from the RTJT series icon on the top of the page and click results.

Hope everyone is well!

Rocky start for tour stop #1
Man that hurts. Missed the cut by a stroke in the first tournament. The weather was not very cooperative. High of 43 on the first day and 45 on the second with non-stop rain. Played very steady and solid for the most part but struggled on a few holes. 3 Double bogeys of the 36 holes were very costly so am working hard on preventing those from happening again. Next week is in Mobile, Al. Click on the tour link on the left to see all of the scores, hole-by-hole. We'll get'em next week!

Prayin for warm weather for you up north
Hey everyone! I have seen that the weather has been rather on the freezing side for all of you up north. I hope the weather turns for the better soon. There weather down here is a bit inconsistent. Warm one day, freezing the next but can't complain for it has been decent for the most part.

I've been practicing a lot and am hitting the ball well. Looking forward to playing next week in Dothan, Al for the first tournament. I'll head that direction this Friday for an early practice round. Feel free to write if any of you would like to keep in touch. Stay warm and I'll talk to you soon.

Changing Weather Patterns
Brrr! The rain is finally gone from the cold front but man was it cold today. It was a high of about 55 degrees but the wind chill must have been around 40. The round today went well all things considered. The Senator course on the RTJ Trail plays 7,700 yards from the back tees and with the wind blowin around 15-20 mph and the soft ground, the course plays much longer.

Also, Amanda had the opportunity to take some pictures during my round. She does a great job with that new camera of hers. They can be seen in the photo gallery. Enjoy!
