A close one at the U.S. Open Local Qualifier
Mood:  a-ok
Hey ya'll. What an interesting day of golf. There were 7 spots available out of 106 competitors at the U.S. Open local qualifier today at Norbeck Country Club (my old stomping grounds.) I ended up with a 72 and found my self in a tie for 8th. Missed by one shot.

I wound up in a 4 way tie for four alternate spots. The four of us teed it up on number 8 (par four) and I made a good up and down save for par and the other 3 made par as well. So we all went to number 9 (par four) and I was over the green for my second shot with the pin in the back. I then hole out a flop shot for birdie and snatch the 1st alternate spot for the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier which will be played at Woodmont Country Club on June 6th. What a way to finish the day and what made it even more special was having the Norbeck members as well as my family there.

It was good to see some old faces there. Thank you to all of the Norbeck members that came out, I appreciate your support. Cross your fingers so that my position will warrant me qualifing for a spot at Pinehurst No.2. I hope everyone is well and lets get-r-done!!
