This year our league is at Florissant Golf Club. They have agreed to take our group one Sunday a month but need a final count no latter than Thursday morning before our Sunday match. This means it is extremely important to commit to playing in the league and notifying me by Wednesday night before our Sunday date if you will not be there. I will send out an e-mail reminder the week before. If we do not do this we risk loosing our tee times for the rest of the year! It would be great to maintain our group at 24 players. Please let potential new players know the importance of paying their dues, showing up every month, and establishing a handicap for match play. Contact me and let me know if you’re in for the year.


This year the league fees will again be $60. $50 will go towards monthly winners (A-Flight, B-Flight, and Closest to the hole, and the year-end banquet). $10 will go to the match play contestants split 75% to the winners and 25% to the runner ups. Match play will begin on the August date with pairings made up of the players that have paid by the Saturday before the August date. You do not have to be present at the beginning of match play to be in but if your team misses more than one of the scheduled dates in August, September, or October your team forfeits.


We also have a skin game each month ($5/player). It takes par or better to win a skin or closest to the hole. Please try to be at the course 20-30 minutes before tee time to avoid last minute confusion and to set groupings for the day. The dates and times are listed to the left. Remember, we have a web site. Jim Jr. handles this and I will send him monthly updates. The web site is www.angelfire.com/ult/tpc_golf/. Some final notes….match play is the year-end event that everyone looks forward to. It is important for everyone to keep some of the weekends between the August and October dates open for completing individual matches so the final match can be held in October. Also keep up the pace of play. Slow play is not fun! Triple bogy is the highest score you can take. If you’re lying 6 on a par 4, pick up and take a 7. All tournament dates, including the one in September and October, are included in the year-end prizes for A-flight, B-flight and closest to the hole. Hope to see everyone bright and early March 29.
