This site is dedicated to one of the best and
extremely underrated German heavy metal band STEELER. The aim of this homepage is to promote
the music the band made in the 1980s. For many years I wished to hear what the band was all
about and getting my ears on their legendary "Strike Back" album meant more than just another
lost dinosaur record. In my humble opinion Steeler delivered the most original music of
the whole German scene together with Keepers-era HELLOWEEN. I was also lucky enough to talk
to Steeler's co-founder and mastermind Axel Rudi Pell who cleared out many facts about
the band's history.

Due to the fact that Axel is the only STEELER member
who is still in the music business it is very hard to get in contact with other ex-musicians.
Nevertheless I promise to do my best to make everything possible available here including
interviews from Japanese magazines with ex-members of the band. You are surely to find here
discography, lyrics, photos and interviews with STEELER guys. I would like to welcome everyone
to contribute anything they can to this homepage to make it the most extensive Steeler home on
the web (even though there are no homepages about those Germans anywhere on the web, just simple
notes).

Finally I would like to thank the Russian magazine
"Rockada" that reviewed Axel's solo album "Between The Walls" in 1994 and my German friend Helmut
Jarvers who helped get the CD that turned my head upside down and made me crazy about
the whole German melodic metal scene.
