Breeders and Respect
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Respect
A thing that really bothers me about breeders is their seeming lack of respect for their children. They will tell near strangers all sorts of embarrassing information about their children, yet they would be ready to disembowel their child if she so much as told the parent's age. Pathetic. If the child complains about the situation, McBreeder says something like, "I changed your diapers so now I have the right to talk about it". Um, cow no you don't. You caused that child to need those diapers the moment you chose to bring him or her here. You put them in that helpless situation and now you want to turn around and throw it in their face? What happened to all of that "parenthood makes you a better person" crap? I'd say the opposite was true.

I believe that people--and all living beings--deserve respect until they prove otherwise. It's apparent that many parents don't get that. This may seem a trivial thing to you, but it is the principle behind the respect issue that gets me and it's also the non caring haughty arrogance that many breeders approach such issues with.

Please visit http://moralchildfree.tripod.com and consider signing up for the Moral Childfree newsletter by sending email to moralchildfree@yahoo.com. It's a bit of sanity in this breeder world.
