I AM (Interagency Advocacy Movement) was launched in April of 2003. We are a network of people in the South Dublin and North Wicklow regions working to promote the use of advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities.

We have used the feedback we received from you at our launch to guide us forwards. There is a huge demand for advocacy information, support and training all of which are reflected in the aims of I AM.

A newsletter will be published every 3 months and you can request a copy from the editorial team. The main purpose of the newsletter is to circulate information relating to advocacy. So if you know of any advocacy events coming up send us the details. Or if you have been to an advocacy event, write to us about it.

If you have an advocacy question, send it in and we will make every effort to find an expert to answer it. Could others learn from your advocacy story? Would you like to write about it and include it in the newsletter? We can learn an awful lot from eachother so share your stories with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
