Homeopathy is a system of excuses masquerading as medicine. For homeopathy's basic beliefs to be correct vast areas of biology, chemistry and physics would have to be incorrect
One of the basic principles of homeopathy is "Like cures like". Homeopaths tend to trumpet it as the only one since it is marginally less insane than the others. Ok so the logical conclusion is that (CN)2 would be a great cure for breathing difficulties and the HIV would be perfect for curing pretty much anything that damaged the immune system.
The more dilute something gets the more powerful it is. Homeopaths don't tend to talk about this unless challenged however over the decades many some many people have asked them about this that they have come up with many ways to deal with the problem. A popular one is to go on about water memory. The problem with this is that they can't explain why water only remembers the things they want it to rather than everything else it has ever been in contact with. Others go on about clusters and weak quantum theory but in the end the evidence doesn't really support them and most of them require writes of major areas of science.
Individualisation. Homeopaths claim this is a key tenet of homeopathy all though they do like to break it a fair bit.
