GARDEN
VILLAGE "GHOULS"
HALLOWEEN DISCO 2005
Garden
Village Ghouls held a Fancy Dress Halloween Disco on
Friday 28th October at
Grovesend Miners Club, to raise money for a proposed football weekend away in
Spring 2006.
We had hot dogs and karaoke, and loads of fun, and the fancy dress costumes were
excellent, with some very scary
Vampires, Witches, Wizards, Mummies (and Daddies), Devils, Skeletons and
Monsters. (And a few Zombies).
The Mums did the Time Warp. The Dads just seemed to be howling at the moon. The
girls, being our football-mad girls,
organised an impromptu game of head the balloon.
Thank you very much to the organisers for a good evening, which everybody enjoyed
When there is KARAOKE,
nobody can hear you SCREAM !

Halloween
Disco
A
big thank you to the Grovesend Miners club the venue for our Halloween disco
which was attended by the young ladies of both the under 11`s and the under 13`s
teams. Some of them really got into the spirit of the night dressing
as witches, skeletons and the odd ghoul; oh I forgot that was Andrew.

The
night got off to a good start with the younger children all running around
frightening people and the older girls getting down to business picking their
songs for the karaoke. With
the karaoke underway Andrew decides that he can do better than the girls so he
leaps into action and much to the delight of everyone he manages to fuse the
electric, putting the machine out of action for a short while. Now that’s what
you call Divine intervention!
Wizard
Tony looked rather fetching in his cape and hat although he did seem to have a
pint attached to his hand rather than a wand; still I suppose that old black
magic has ways of reaching parts that others can’t reach but we won’t go
into that just now.
Gwyn
and Andrew pull off a great double act whilst doing the raffle, (I am sure Steve
will be heart broken to find out that his partner has found someone new!) they
had the crowd in stitches although alcohol may have played some part in this and
I wonder if they will remember anything about this effort in the morning.
Gwyn obviously a policeman in a former life, demands that the winners verify their tickets before letting them have any prizes,
Alison who was taking away nearly all the prizes feared he was becoming
suspicious and thought that he was going to haul her in
for questioning.
Josie
and Hannah in battle over a box of after eights, watched by a very scary
skeleton, Hannah got there first and had Josie begging her to swap for some
lovely picture frames, but no way was she going to part with them.
The
girls all enjoyed singing and so did the adults with Tony, Gwyn, Andrew and Tim
giving us earache, whilst the mums go down a storm doing the time warp.
Angela
did a great job of organising the hot dogs and selling raffle tickets. Denise
Sandra, Angela and Alison managed to get a production line going for the mad
rush on the hot dogs after it was announced that they were free.

One,
I only had one !
