Now that all the results for last Sunday are in, I would like to point out that the Under 10 Team and the Under 12 Team both scored their 50th goal of the season this week. The Under 10s have now scored 52 goals, and the Under 12s have now scored 58 goals.

The Under 10s have now won more games than they did during the entire season last year, have scored more goals than they did during the entire season last year, and so far, have had far fewer goals scored against them than last year. A great performance so far, and its only November ! The whole team are doing brilliantly.

Fireworks

We were at the Garden Village Fireworks Display last night, which was good fun, and as there were plenty of people there, should hopefully have raised a reasonable amount of funds for the club.
I hope all of you that attended enjoyed the evening.

While there, I was told that the Under 14s are currently 3rd in the league apparently. Good going girls, keep it up.

Next weekend should be good, with the Under 10s playing in a league tournament, and the Under 12s and the Under 14s both playing at home at Stafford Common. Loads to look forward to:-

The Under 10s have been playing really well this season, and the tournament (the first for some of the girls)should be very exciting.

The Under 12s play Llangyfelach, Penyrheol and Bancffosfelen, all teams that usually give them a good, hard-fought game.

The Under 14s play Dafen, who I think they last met in the Plate Final way back in May, when Garden Village won 3-0, after quite a memorable game.

With League Tournaments for the Under 10s and Under 12s, November should be an interesting month, especially as this will be the Under 10s first tournament as a team (although some of the players played superbly in last seasons Under 11 tournaments against older and bigger opponents).

Topic: Under 10s Season So Far

As the Garden Village Under 10s are without a match reporter at the moment, and their Team Page is a little lacking in photos I thought it would be nice to point out exactly how well Tim's Under 10 Team are doing so far this season.

Did you know that the Under 10s have already, by the end of October, won as many matches as they did (as the Garden Village Colts) during the whole of last season ?

And, they only need to score 5 more goals to have scored more goals this season than they did during the whole of 2005-2006 !

I'll bet you didn't know that the Under 10s currently have the highest goal scorer so far this season out of all 3 Garden Village Girls Teams.

Well done girls ! You are doing brilliantly so far.

We train every Tuesday evening at the Elba Sports Centre, Gowerton, Swansea.

We play matches most Sundays
