One of Dr. Wily's robot masters appearing in Mega Man 2. Not one for subtlety, Wood Man makes his presence known by bellowing a war cry and beating his barrel-shaped chest with his great fists, like a gorilla, before entering battle. He is master of the Leaf Shield, an almost inpenetrable barrier of rotating, razor-sharp leaves that can be used to great effect both offensively and defensively. Wood Man can also remotely trigger a volley of knife-like leaves to fall from the branches of the synthetic trees that hang high above his lair; he usually does this in conjunction with the release of the Leaf Shield, creating a two-directional attack that is very difficult for his opponent to escape unscathed.
In keeping with his name, a large part of Wood Man's external armor composition is compressed hard wood. He is particularly vulnerable to combustion, something Heat Man's Atomic Fire and Crash Man's Crash Bombs do very well.
Cardboard, white paper, a plastic drinking straw, wire twist ties, white glue, hot glue, ink, and paint.

One day; April 24, 2003.
(I didn't keep records on how long it took me to sculpt/paint my earlier models, but I did happen to write the date on the bottom of this one. While it's conceivable that it took more than that one day, considering how quickly I usually work, I find that unlikely.)
