Large, humanoid, flying insects that can be randomly encountered in Final Fantasy Legend/Makaitoushi Saga (Demon World Tower Saga).

Cicadas attack by biting with their mandibles and tearing/puncturing with the sharp ends of their upper appendages. An injured Cicada can revitalize itself by piercing an opponent's body with its proboscis and drinking the vital fluids within. By rubbing their wings together, Cicadas can "sing"; the strange melody that this friction produces has been known to confuse and disorientate anyone who listens to it. Because these hovering insects seldom touch the ground, earth-derived elemental attacks, such as Quake, have little effect on them.

A Cicada's metabolism can't cope with sudden drops in temperature.

Paper toweling, newsprint, white glue, hot glue, plastic, a broom bristle, and paint.
