We ask for no conflicts or fighting, if you want to fight do it on your own time!
No sexual content shall ever be posted or visualized anywhere on this site, if seen it will be removed asap, along with the person who posted it!
Anyone of all ages, sexes, races, country etc are excepted in this game. You must know the language of English of course.
JOINING
Anyone is allowed to join Yellow Rose Ranch, however, we can refuse submissions.
When
you submit your information to join Yellow Rose Ranch, you are agreeing to follow all the
rules listed below
Please do not begin to send us e-mails for gameplay until you have recieved a response from your joining e-mail saying that you are a member.
Anybody who joins must have a valid e-mail address.
Once you are a member, you must be active once a week, or your account will be suspended until you write to me and explain why you were absent. If you are going to be absent, you must send me an e-mail in advance telling me for how long.
Your date of birth is not required, but we do post birthday messages on the marquee on the main page. You private information will not be used any other way.
NEW MEMBERS
When you are accepted as a new member, you will start off with $500,000 dollars. Do not spend all of this money. The bank does offer loans, but the rules are strict and interest is high! When you buy and sell things, you MUST write me an e-mail telling me who the money goes to, who the money is from, how much, and what it is for.
As a player in Yellow Rose Ranch, even if you are 13 or 50 in Real life in Yellow Rose Ranch you are considered a adult and over the age of 18 able to go off on your own and work.
New members start of with two free horses they can make up/create in the main registry. Only one of those horses may be a stallion. Any other horses must be breed and foaled out, or purchased.
As a member just joining if you want to get big in the game, the best way is to start right off in getting your horses and your self known to other members. Enter horses in shows boost up some points on some horses. But do not over do it.
As a new member you will most likely will not be able to open up a stable, so we suggest you look around and find a stable you like to settle into for a while until there is a stable opening. WHen you find a stable, you must e-mail us and let us know. If you do not find a stable on your own, Yellow Rose Ranch will board the horse. Board fees for all stables are automatically taken out of your bank account and placed into the stable owner's bank account.
All members are allowed to open a business or club. If you are interested in opening something notify me at WildTexasFilly@hotmail.com . You must be able to know how to operate a website. We do not reccomend expage webpages.
In this game you want to be as active as you possibly can, participate in anything you can, we also love new ideas that members come up with to make the game more fun so send those in!!! It is mandatory that you are active once a week, but it is better for you to at least check the site every day.
HORSES
Names and photos of famous horses are allowed. Be sure if you want me to use a picture of a famous horse, that you e-mail the owner to ask for permission.
Duplicate names are not allowed. For instance, there can be no Pepper the thoroughbred and Pepper the arabian. However, you can use Pepper and Pepper2. Duplicate pictures are allowed due to a shortage of good pictures on the internet.
Horses age every month. So, that means that one month is a year in SIM time.
Since 1 year in SIM time is 1 month in real time, a mare in foal will be pregnant for 3 weeks real time.
Horses can be trained in any and all disciplines. They can only compete at a level above beginner if they are trained though. Training takes 1 week real time.
While it's nice to have horses that are versatile, it is suggested that you do not overtrain or overwork your horses. If a horse is thought to be over trained or over worked, it will be considered abuse. Give your horse 3 to 4 days real time before entering them in another show or training them for a different event.
Abused horses are taken away from their owners and put in rehab at Yellow Rose Ranch. Those horses will be rehabilitated and sold. Yellow Rose Ranch will not permit the owners of an abused horse to re-buy the horse or buy a new horse from the public sale at Yellow Rose Ranch. However, owners of abused horses may buy horses from private sellers. If you abuse your horses, it will be posted on your player page. So sellers, be sure to check the people who you sell your horses to!
All horses must see the vet and farrier at least every 2 weeks real time.
Horses should retire from the show ring at the age of 28 yrs old or younger, ponies are 38 years or younger. The way I decide when a horse dies: I place the names of all horses that are above the age of 29 in the randomizer. If the horse's name comes up, it dies... it's that simple.
When a foal is born, the owner of the foal will be notified, and will then have 3 days to claim the foal from the owner of the mare and send me a name. If the foal is not claimed, then the owner of the mare can keep the foal and name it themself. In the case of a foal being claimed and not named, it will recieve a name picked by me.
BREEDING HORSES
Any stallion that dies CANNOT be bred to any longer. No exceptions. The horse is no longer part of Yellow Rose Ranch! But foals that are by this stallion already are still elgible to compete in Yellow Rose Ranch!
The day you send me the e-mail informing me of a breeding to a stallion and mare is the day the mare is bred!!
If a stallion is listed as being a public stud, you do not have to ask permission to breed to it. However, the stallion is a private stud, you must ask the owner for permission, and I must get an e-mail from the owner of the stallion and the owner of the mare. If you list your stallion as a public stud, you should post restrictions as to who can breed to him, such as saying only a certain breed of horse, or a certain bloodline, or a certain color.
The color and size and such of foals are determined by the randomizer. Sorry, you get no say so in this one! Also, whether or not the foal is born alive or healthy is also determined by the randomizer. Just like life, it's all about luck!
Bred mares after 2 weeks of pregnancy can only do Halter and Showmanship. Non-streesful classes.
You & the stallion's owner must decided beforehand who the foal belongs to. OR, if a pregnant mare is sold, you must state wether or not you're keeping the foal once it's born, or else it's the new owner's foal, unless the new owner is willing to sell/give the foal to you.
MEMBER/HORSE OF THE MONTH
Members can vote for other members and their horses. Yes, you can vote for yourself and your horse.
Not every member and horse will be able to be cvoted upon. The candidates are decided by these thing: the top 5 most active members will be considered for member of the month, and the top five horses with the most points will be considered for horse of the month. A prize is awarded, along with 50 points to member and horse. The prize varies, and will be listed on the page every month.
Members may ask other members to consider voting for them (If the member says no to not annoy them or continually harassing them if continues member can report you)
Paying money is no longer allowed for voting for other members or horses! If caught person will be banned from voting or winning certain stuff. If you are the member being bribed, you have a duty to report the person who bribed you! If I find out that this went on and wasn't reported, you will both the suspended from the game for a week!
SHOW RULES
All members with stables are allowed to run a show.
If you decide to run a show, you must notify me of when the show is to take place, and I will post it on the main page and in the newletter. You are responsible for determining the winners, and telling me who won and how many points each horse and contestant should recieve. Also, should you decide to award a prize, I must be notified of the prize so that I can put it on the member's or horse's page.
Horses over 28 cannot enter shows.Ponys over 38 cannot enter shows.
If there is less then 2 entries in a class .. class is cancled.
Whoever does show results for a show cannot enter their horses in that show! Person that does show results must be a Yellow Rose Ranch member. There are exceptions to this rule.
Person that does show results cannot be be friends in Real or a sister/brother(sibling) to any competitors in the show.
Shows must have a class list rules,how to enter including how much it is,date the show is running,when entries are due by, what they need to send and the address or form to send it to.
All horses must have been vetted and farried before entering
Shows all must follow the point system, you are also allowed to have championships(do not count for points), awards like grain, feed, money,tack etc.
No one absoloutley no one is allowed to give extra points for any class what so ever no matter if there is 150 entries! The only exception is Yellow Rose sponsored World and National shows. These shows may not always double points though.
Show results should list placings 1-6. no further. And somewhere say how many entries were in the class.

STABLES
All members horses must be at a stable!
Any member that opens a stable, must purchase land at the real estate center and follow the rules. You cannot board any more horses then what the land, and stables can hold.
Boarding stables- can stable other members horses, the lowest they can charge is $75 a month. A stable cannot offer training unless the owner or boarder doing the training has picked this as their job.
Private stables- cannot stable other members horses, and the same rules apply to the training thing. Private stables can host shows, but not shows that require the horses to be housed overnight.
Any member can run a stable, as long as they can afford the upkeep of the stable. If you go broke and you own a private stable, the stable will be siezed and sold, or may be used as collateral for a loan.
Stables must buy land, fencing, stables etc for their stable area (see accessories page!).
PHOTO RULES
All members are allowed 3 photos for their horse. If there are more photos than that, the owner is responsible for creating a page for the other photos and sending me the link so it can be posted on the horse's page.
No photos should be directly linked to other peoples site. You must download them and upload them onto one of your sites, or send them to me in an attatchment for an e-mail so that I can upload them onto this site.
Please do not just take pictures of horses off the net. Permission is needed first unless it says you can use them.
It's easier to use a friends horse, or one of your own unless you can find one.
Photo's are not needed but don't steal them alot of people have copyrights.
You can use pictures of famous horses, with owner permission, like... Secretariat,Rugged Lark,Cool Hand Luke,Hot Chocolate Chip, Zippo Pine Bar,Big Ben etc...
QUITING
When you decide to quit please send me an e-mail. I do not need a reason, just so that I know that you did not drop off the face of the earth (I do worry so about my members!)
Please either sell your horses or give them away. 3 horses per member if you give them away.
