Vincent Frittelli, Associate Professor of Violin, received his training at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia under the renowned Ivan Galamian. He also attended the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, Belgium, where he received a “First Prize with Great Distinction” in chamber music. He has had extensive experience in orchestral playing, having been concertmaster in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa, Hong Kong, Akron, and now the Austin Symphony, and the associate concertmaster in Atlanta and New Orleans. He has also performed extensively in Africa, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and the U.S.
