She is perfect and has no flaws. She had beautiful deep brown eyes and thick lashes. She is wearing a very special and truly one of a kind outfit by Laura (angelynn4 on ebay). This outfit is pictured on the Whitman Crissy paper doll book but was never one of Ideal's outfits. Laura has to be one of the most talented seamstresses I've ever seen. This Tressy and her outfit with matching custom boots makes a gorgeous display for your Crissy collection. $500.00 Ideal: Black Look-Around Crissy   C-0013 Black Look Around Crissy with her box. This Crissy has been given a new working ponytail due to her factory pony being for some reason very thin. I'm thinking she was one of the last of the production line and sometimes Ideal scrimped on the hair or the rooting had an odd pattern. She is dressed in her factory outfit and shoes and comes with her box which has shelfwear but is very pretty on display. Finding the boxes for the black Look Around dolls is almost next to impossible. Crissy works as she should when her butterfly is pulled. $200.00 *Custom*: Non-Marked Giant Crissy   C-0014 Everyone has seen the large cute chubby Baby Crissy but have you ever wondered what Little Girl Crissy might have looked like? Take a look at this truly one of a kind Crissy. First, this is NOT an Ideal doll. She has no markings to indicate who might have made her. This doll is definitely NOT a play doll. She is fragile and made for an adult collector's display. Someone (a very talented doll artist I'm sure) took a nondescript companion doll and rerooted her with the auburn red Crissy style (the hair is NOT a wig but has actually been rooted just like factory rooting) and gave her a working ponytail. And then a remarkable copy of Crissy's tangerine lace dress was added. There are three pictures for you to view (front, back and a COMPARISON ONLY photo of the custom Crissy standing next to a normal Crissy….the black Crissy is NOT included with the custom….she is sold elsewhere on the Crissy page). I'm almost certain you will not find another custom Crissy just like this one. No flaws. $125.00 Ideal: Brazillian Crissy (Crecy)   C-0016 Brazilian Crissy (Crecy). This is an unusual doll made in Brazil and licensed by Ideal. She does not look like the American version but she does have the American type instructions (in Spanish) and her accessories. This outfit is pictured on the side of the box instead of on the front. This doll was displayed by an adult collector and has no play wear. $250.00 Ideal: French Crissy (by Clodrey)   C-0017 French Clodrey Crissy. This doll is very unusual in that her box which is identical to the American version with the Crissy graphics but does picture the Clodrey version in the photos. Clodrey was licensed by Ideal to produce the Clodrey Crissy. She is in her tagged dress and panties and comes with everything pictured. She was displayed by an adult collector and has no play wear. Boxed with original teal tissue paper. $85.00 Ideal: Black Crissy First Issue!   C-0022 First Issue Black Crissy. This is the first black Crissy with hair to toes. She was displayed by an adult collector and her plastic was pulled down from her face to display her face uncovered. I pulled the plastic back up and retied it. Her pony is still wrapped . This doll has had no playwear at all and if you have never seen the first issue unplayed with, she is really a sight to behold. Her hair is silky and shiny. She even has her original lime green tissue and brush. Her instructions and letter to mother are included. She was rerooted professionally, her dress, panties and shoes were replaced with factory new. She has absolutely no flaws. I had her restored for my own personal collection. $265.00 Ideal: Mexican Crissy by Lili Ledy   C-0024 Lili Ledy Mexican Crissy. The Ledy factory in Mexico was licensed by Ideal to produce the Crissy dolls. These bodies look very much like the American Crissy dolls but are just a tiny bit smaller. The face molds are different but can still pass for Crissy Family. She is marked on the nape of her neck with the Ledy factory logo. This doll is in her original Mexican issue dress and panties which are not as bright in color as the American versions. This dress is backed in yellow instead of orange and the panties are also lace edged yellow. This doll is in very excellent played with condition with no broken flanges, no vinyl nicks and very few play scuffs. Face is gorgeous. This doll was purchased directly from Mexico. A view of her back may be seen here. SOLD Horsman: Pert-N-Pretty First Issue   C-0025 Horsman Pert 'N Pretty first issue. This is the Horsman doll with the Crissy body and grow hair mechanism. Several stories have been circulated about this doll but the general consensus is that the molds for the Crissy dolls were in the factory in China when Ideal went bankrupt and Horsman inherited the original Crissy molds. The molds were used for the Pert'N Pretty dolls with a head mold from what I understand was a Madam Alexander doll. It's been so many years that I'm sure the stories have become muddled. However, this first issue doll is factory fresh in box with no playwear. $125.00 Horsman: Pert-N-Pretty Second Issue   C-0026 Horsman Pert 'N Pretty second issue. She has a working to the toes ponytail. Her brown eyes were changed to blue. She is dressed in the complete and hard to find original Ideal Blazering (fresh out of the package for this doll) with Velvet red riding boots. Picture here. Tressy was customed from a used doll body and head and as with all customs, significant changes have been made. She is not being sold as all original. The boxes have shelf/storage wear. $125/set Palitoy: Sheena   C-0043 UK Palitoy Sheena the English grow hair doll. This doll was produced in the United Kingdom under license from Palitoy. She has the Crissy arms but a different torso, legs and face mold. She has the original grow hair knob on her back which is featured on the proto Crissy in the first Beautiful Crissy television commercial. This Sheena is all original with her box, her factory outfit and one of her rare and hard to find complete factory outfits made by Palitoy for her (Anchors Aweigh). $165.00 Ideal: Cricket Rare Blue-eyed Variant   C-0044 Ideal Cricket blue eye version in box. This Cricket is the blue eye version (eyes are original to the doll) in the original Cricket outfit, panties and shoes. Instructions included. She has been displayed and has had no child play. She is missing her tiny hair barrette. Her hair is the first issue Crissy type acetate instead of the later version saran. It is soft and curly with no crinkles or frizz. This doll is a rare transitional second issue Crissy with white tummy button. Her hair is gorgeous and not frizzy. Her hair has not been cut and is very soft and silky. She is in pristine condition. Her outfit is crispy new. No noted flaws. Comes with box and original letter to Mother. $125.00 Ideal: Crissy Transitional Doll   C-0068 Canadian Crissy in Box. This is a Canadian Crissy and these dolls were made from a different formula for their vinyl. Their skin appears peachy instead of the tannish pink of the American versions. They also have melon color lips instead of pink. This is a second issue with the first issue garnet red acetate hair of the American versions. She has had no trimming of her hair and her hair is not frizzy. Her coloring is very even and she does have the blue eyeshadow the Canadian Crissy dolls have. She is in her original darker Canadian lace mini with real velvet bow and matching panties with her orange bowflat shoes. Her box is printed in both English and French. You may see another view of her here. SOLD Ideal: Crissy Blazering   C-0069 Ideal factory Blazering outfit complete. This outfit was on a display doll and has just a few tiny pin holes in the skirt where it was sewn to the original insert packaging. No seam tears, no torn holes, no fading. In beautiful condition. $85.00 Ideal: Look-Around Crissy Caucasian and African American Versions   C-0070 Look Around Crissy Twins. These dolls are the white and black versions of the Look Around Crissy. They are all original with lovely hair and no body flaws. The both work when their butterfly accessories are pulled. Both dolls have pristine outfits and matching Ideal maryjane shoes original to these outfits. The dolls are sold as a set with everything pictured. No boxes and no other accessories are included. $225.00/set Ideal: Third Issue Crissy   C-0071 Third Issue Crissy. This doll is the third issue Crissy in the blue satin dress with matching belt, panties and shoes. She has been gently played with. Her ponytail is very silky and her base hair is the typically choppy style of the third issue but has not been cut. This doll is in excellent condition with no body flaws and she comes with her box and original instructions. $85.00 Mixed Manufacturer Set: Nasco JoAnn and Mattel Valerie   C-0072 Nasco JoAnn and Mattel Valerie. JoAnn made by the NASCO (Nancy Ann Storybook Company) was offered in the Montgomery Ward catalog as a growing hair "friend" of Velvet and Crissy. She bears no resemblance to the Ideal dolls but she is very cute. JoAnn's growing hair function works by pulling her ponytail to the length you desire and then turning her head to retract it. Her growing hair function works perfectly, She has nice uncut hair, clear fully lashed green eyes and she has no body flaws. She is dressed in a factory made outfit, panties and shoes (not original to her but made as aftermarket). Valerie was made by Mattel and her hair growing function works by pulling her ponytail to the length desired and to shorten you hold her upside down and give it a tug to retract. Her growing hair function works perfectly. Valerie is dressed in her original dress, panties, shoes , socks and hair ribbon. Her hair is silky smooth and she has no body flaws. Sold as a set. This is the French licensed Ideal/Clodrey version of Crissy. This doll has been completely rerooted with a working to the toes ponytail. Her eyes are clear and fully lashed and she has no body flaws. Her body is the Crissy mold which means she can wear all of Crissy's outfits. She is dressed in a custom outfit including matching panties and headband plus rare aftermarket Totsy shoes for Crissy size dolls. Her grow hair feature is like the one for Baby Crissy and UK Crissy. She has a cord and pull ring. Of course her face mold looks nothing like the standard Crissy but she is very cute. This was a project doll of mine. A friend made these beautiful purple eyes which I think give Tressy a slightly Oriental look. Another friend made the outfit complete with newsboy cap. Tressy is wearing turquoise blue bowflats to compliment the outfit. This doll is not perfect as in mint. She was a child's toy which I used as a makeover project. She was used for display and modeling. Her vinyl is good with no chews and her base hair is just a bit fluffy but still holds style. Her ponytail is new and it does work. Not perfect but still perfectly beautiful. This is the first issue Crissy and she has had some very gentle play. Her hair is in remarkably good condition for having been a child's toy. Her base hair still holds the original style and her ponytail is in really super nice condition. Her body has no flaws and her outfit is very nearly pristine. Her box has storage and shelf wear but is in nice displayable condition. She is sold as is with the understanding she is not mint. This playset is complete and even has EXTRA clothing storage bags from another set which was combined with this one. Very nice condition. $100.00 Nasco: Miss JoAnn and Miss Claudette   C-0077 NASCO second issue Miss JoAnn and Miss Claudette. These are both NASCO dolls in their original boxes. Both are grow hair dolls. Miss JoAnn is in her complete factory outfit with accessories (missing one clip) and Claudette is missing the top flap of her box only. Claudette is in complete factory outfit with her comb and hair ribbons. Both dolls were used for a static display of grow hair dolls and neither has been played with. $85.00/set Ideal: First Issue Black Velvet   C-0078 First Issue Black Velvet. This Velvet came to me brand new from an adult collector. I started custom work on her by replacing her ponytail with a to the toes version. It does work as it should. I never did continue the custom work on her so she is factory original with the exception of her ponytail. She is in pristine condition with no flaws.
