   Whale Sharks

A whale shark is the largest of all breeds of shark. It is definitely not a whale.  The scientific name for it is Rhincodon Typus. Its wide, huge mouth can be up to 1.4 metres when trying to eat its prey.

It has a wide flat head with a rounded head and small eyes. It is non-aggressive and is no threat to humans. Whale sharks are extremely slow swimmers going no more than 5 kph.
