Welcome to our official website.
And this same gracious group of clubs will host our Fall Workshop in San Antonio in October. Details will be posted on this website and in the state summer bulletin. Then in the spring of 2013, we’ll return to Houston with that talented group.
It is a hobby of sharing and we all want to participate as fully as possible. Everyone should have the privilege of serving as an officer or other position. Our nominating committee is Shirley Thompson, Jackie Sears and Freda Knight. Please let them know if you are willing to accept a nomination. And our state bulletin editor needs your help in keeping current on your club activities, any changes or programs you can contribute will be appreciated.
I am happy to announce that Pam Luke of the Fort Worth Club has stepped up and accepted the responsibility of the vacant position of Awards Chairperson. And with great timing! We are on deadline for submitting our new awards. Please forward them to Pam. It was with regret that we accepted the resignation of Barbara Hefner who served as Awards Chairperson. She was a dedicated and knowledge asset but her family obligation necessitated retirement at this time.
Please support your local clubs and invite everyone you meet to join you. It’s a fascinating hobby and sharing is a big part of it. May your summer travels lead you to new buttons and friends.
Happy Buttoning!
The Spring Show was a great success.

General Question about TSBS? Ask our Club President, Sadie Jackman
The Texas State Button Society encourages and promotes
the interest in collecting buttons for educational and historical purposes,
for personal enjoyment and to preserve for future generations
all that is beautiful and historical in buttons.
Note from TSBS President, Sadie Jackman
The Spring Texas State Button Society Convention and Show in Austin was a perfect reunion and gathering of old friends – and new acquaintances. It was great being back in that central location and the host clubs went all out. It was well attended, beautifully co-ordinated and a wonderful opportunity to learn and share. I believe that the three day venue accomplished the goal of the judges and we will continue with that scheduling. We all appreciate the contributions and time donated by each member.
