Welcome to our official website.
My personal goal is to share the enthusiasm of this hobby with as many people as possible and increase the number of people who are aware of us. I was very proud of the Dallas club for donating money to our central library for button reference books so that any one with an interest in buttons - without knowledge of a club - can find information.
Our new bulletin editor, Ada Nell McComas, will also be working toward spreading the word to entice new members to join us. Each club is solicited to submit activities, goals and plans. Also every one is encouraged to submit articles that are educational and/or fun.
We also are very fortunate to have Barbara Hefner and Randy Cannon active in our awards and judging areas. Both are advanced collectors and have experience in national events. We have plans to interface our criteria with national standards to make it easier to travel from state to state for shows and competition.
And a big star in our line up of talent is Judye Stewart who maintains this very professional looking web site. We're very fortunate to have this vehicle to share with each other and people who are curious about the hobby.
There are many contributors to the success of this group - and we appreciate each and every one. Of course, my special thanks to the officers who preceded our group. We want to do as well as they did to keep the momentum growing.
If I can help with any questions, I will try. I will try to keep moving forward and finding new things to see and do.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at national in Denver and of course, in San Angelo in the fall.
Happy Buttoning,
