Here is updates to what Erik is doing now that
he is homeschooled. He has accomplished a lot.
Erik is now reading sentences useing his voice/sign language (YES! he is using his voice
along with the signing of each word in the sentence.
This is how he printed his name when he was still
at the Selman Intermediate school up to the day that he was withdrawn from the school, to be home taught.

homeschooled.

He is also in the process of learning to play the
recorder---Yeah Erik!!!
During the Sunday School Christmas program
at our Church, Erik has taken direction from
the choir director. He wasn't a distraction to
the parents or to the other Sunday School students.
He even got an award for participating in the
program. We were told by Selman Intermediate school that he would be a distraction to both the
students and their parents.
We were told that Erik wouldn't be able to do any
of the things that he as accomplished this far.
As of 2008 and the beginning of 2009, Erik
can now count to 40 using sign language, and his
voice.
He is now printing his name the right way-E-R-I-K
He is also printing his last name, Daddy, Alan,
Amber and Schyler. He also prints the sentence "I
love you.
