Welcome to the Son Shine Barnyard LLC! We are a family owned and operated business far from
your normal petting zoo and pony ride
operation. We offer facilities for
family celebrations with our covered pavilion area, authentic looking
outhouse and a barnyard full of animals. You can use our facilities to host your celebrations
and events. We provide the facilities:
tables are set and ready to go with plates, cups, plastic ware, napkins, a
knife to cut the cake, an ice cream scoop for ice cream, ice filled chest,
and a lighter to light candles. We’ll
even provide the balloons. You bring
your own refreshments, cake, ice cream, drinks, and party favors. We can provide children’s games upon
request, like bean bag toss, horseshoes, and puppet show theater. What sets us apart from other party animal places
are our Christian values and emphasis
on what we can learn from the Bible through animals. The inspiration for this venture came from
scripture: Job 12:7-8 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the
birds of the air, and they will tell you.
Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the
sea inform you.” Bible verses are posted at animal pens, throughout
the barnyard and many “Did you know...” type captions of interesting facts
from the Bible associated with a particular animal. Lou and Sharon are both well versed in
answering Creation vs Evolution questions and have studied extensively
animals in the Bible, even down to the dung. We try to present the Bible as God’s Word and
instruction book for our lives. One of
the tools He uses are the animals. For
school groups we offer handouts and information to assist them in life
science studies. We aim to be
affordable, educational and entertaining. |

How to find us: From I-35W exit 26a, that’s Hwy 67
South towards Cleburne. Approx. 4 1/2 miles turn right on County Road 807.
The road winds a bit, take the first right turn on to County Road 703. We are the second house on the left. |
