Homecoming December 31st 2003

The following Photos are from a recent visit from our son RJ. Needless to say we had a terrific time from the very moment that he arrived at Houston's Bush International Airport. His visit sparked a impromptu family reunion along with some of the best food this side of the Mississippi. He's Aunt and his mother cooked enough food to feed a small army. A major part of the entire preparation was the cleaning of 50 pounds of Chitterlings. His Aunt "Bea Bea" cleaned Chitterlings the entire evening until the early morning hours of January 1st 2004. The meal consisted of  traditional soul food. Mustard greens, collard greens,  Turnips, Cabbage, Black eyed peas, Turkey dressing, Ham, Country yams, Chitterlings, potato salad, cake and pies. Little did "RJ" know or expect that this much food would be prepared for him to enjoy with his family. As you view the pictures keep in mind that the best part of the Holidays is in having family to spend it with.
