My heart has always belonged to the most wonderful country in the world.
The United States of America.
Since I was very young I have loved patriotic songs and colors.
Every holiday that involves red, white and blue I am dressed up for it.
I own three red, white and blue blouses.
I am the daughter of a WWII veteran
and the wife of a Desert Storm veteran.
And I show my pride for them every chance I get.
I, myself, almost joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 18.
But motherhood and marriage changed that.
I decorate my bulletin boards, my walls and even my garage
with flags and our national colors.
Then September 11th happened...
I am still speechless and heart broken.
It did not shake my faith in or loyalty to
our country it only strengthened it more.
Like it did for many people.
I hope to instill this patriotism into my children.
I believe I got the best of everything too...
because not only do I live in the U.S.A.
I am a proud and loyal Texan.
Born and raised in Houston and Galveston.
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. AND TEXAS.
