THE BOLD WITNESS

Boldly and without hindrance he preached
the Kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 28:31 (NIV)

Some of my favorite music.

I am the kind of Christian who likes to Praise God with enthusiasm. I attend a church that begins the service with about forty-five minutes of lively contemporary Christian music with every one standing, clapping, hands in the air Praising God. My taste in music reflects my taste in worship.

Third Day and Buidling 429 both provide that kind of jump up and shout for the Lord music. Their music is filled with Praise and Glory for God. The Newsboys are also exciting, but they also do traditional hymns with a contemporary twist. And a lot of their early music, like Breakfast Club, is just plain fun!

If you like good Worship and Praise music, I think you will enjoy everything on my suggested list.

Suggested Reading for Fun and Inspiration

To the left is a list of links to some of my favorite books. I like to read, and all of the books listed have helped me to grow in faith and understanding of Christianity. The book "Paul: A Novel" is really wonderful. It is inspiring, exciting, and informative. Paul and his associates like Priscilla and Aquila really come alive. And Donal Miller's first book, "Blue Like Jazz," is very helpful for applying Christian principles to real life. The best chapter is chapter 11 on confession. That chapter is worth the price of the book. And if you really want to understand the basics of the Christian faith, I highly recommend William Barclay's "The Letter to the Romans." His knowledge and writing style make understanding that book fun and easy. If you want a more in depth, academic understanding of the Christian faith, go for "Paul: Apostle of God's Glory in Christ." This is really a text book, and is only for those who are looking for a very serious study of Christianity. But the author's style makes it is really a fun read.

Happy reading!
