Thank you so much for visiting our website dedicated to the Light the Night program put together by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The site is filled with pictures and helpful links that can guide you in educating yourself on the disease and learn how you can be involved and make a difference in someone’s life.
Our family lost someone very dear to us to Leukemia back in 1993 and we are still trying to cope with the lost ten years later.
When we were first introduced to this program last year, we didn’t think twice about participating. We put a team together, Team Heavenly Ida, and made shirts to make it known who we were walking in memory of… IDA MARIE. Walking for such a great cause gives an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Being able to walk by the Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital and wave to all the children in the oncology ward on the 8th floor was unbelievable. Being able to walk with a red balloon in my hand as a supporter amongst the white balloons that belong to survivors meant the world to us because we know that we are contributing to finding help to let these survivors walk in next year’s Light the Night Walk.
Please help our team by supporting us with your donations or participation in the walk on Saturday, September 25th, 2004 @ 7:00 at Milam Park (downtown). You can make an online donation through the Light the Night secured website at:
