Follow the compass to the various Skull Gang members who are hanging out on rooftops of the city. This is a good opportunity to get familiar with web swinging and the height meter for tracking your targets. Don't forget that Spider-Man can fire webbing at enemies while swinging, so you can soften them up.

After dealing with all of the gang members in the area, follow the compass to the rooftop entrance of the warehouse. Be sure to look around on the way and pick up any health items you spot if you need them. Walk into the blue spider icon on the rooftop to finish the stage.

Stick to the ceiling in the large open areas to avoid detection, if you are spotted, you'll have several gang members chasing after you. This early in the game, it's difficult to fight off so many enemies at once.

Check behind the pile of crates in this area to find a health item. If you had to fight your way through a bunch of gangsters, you'll probably need it.

You'll have to go behind the parked truck to continue through the stage, but the villains have planned a special surprise for Spidey. As soon as Spidey sense goes off, hit R1 to web-zip up to the ceiling and avoid the forklift that speeds fast below.

Stand on this grate on the floor behind the truck and zip up into a ventilation shaft. Follow the shaft to find an electric trap guarding the passage. Take the side path and drop down to find a switch that shuts the trap off. Go back up and follow the vent shaft to the control room. You don't have the fuse yet, so continue on and you'll find the thug who's got it.

Take to the vents at the start of this stage; they'll lead you to a large open room with several thugs. Duke it out, and then continue through this passage with the steam vents. Use your web-zip to scoot through the hall past the steam.

Start the stage by following instructions and performing a few simple aerial stunts. Next, follow the compass to the building with blue spider icon and touch it to begin the next section of the stage.

When the robot sentries attack, you'll have to defeat 13 of them. Use your web shots while swinging along with Spidey's mid-air attack moves to destroy them. Don't forget to lock on with L1 button to make aiming and attacking easier..

This stage is basically a series of rescues. First, you'll have to help the lone security guard in the main atrium fend off a stream of attackers. This isn't hard, because the bad guys will target Spider-Man and attack him instead of the guard as long as you stay close.

Next, you'll sense that there are others in need of help. Follow the compass and help the civilian first-he's defenseless and will get hurt much faster than the guard. Remember that you can web up some of the enemies who are ganging up on the guards to make this task easier.

To avoid getting hit by Shocker's blasts, use the targeting view (R3) to aim your webbing at the gasps in the walls, then web-zip to them. When you get close enough, Shocker will run away and the tunnel he disappears into will collapse behind him.

Look for the switch near the collapsed tunnel and pull it to move the subway car nearby, revealing a staircase. Follow this path to reach Shocker.

Shocker is a pushover. Keep moving to avoid his blasts while he's above you, and then web him up when he comes down to fight and hit him with impact webbing (L2+X). When you see him create the whirlwind, start swinging away from it or you'll be pulled in. As soon s it stops, continue your assault and Shocker will drop quickly.

This stage is short, but action-packed. The alarm has been raised so don't worry about stealth. Swing or web-zip everywhere to avoid getting hit too badly. You're back in the main office area of Oscorp. There are two control rooms-one at each end of the main hallway-with switches you must hit to get through the main area. Once you've hit both switches, you can head into the main room (with the computer terminals).

The door leading out is guarded by another laser barrier, but the switch for it is located directly across from the door. Turn off the barrier, and then head through the door.

Finally, hit the switch to start the final door opening. It takes while to open, so you'll need to be ready to face a bunch of angry Super Soldiers. Web them up or fight them off, then go through the door and swing to the end of the hallway to finish the stage.

This is another "chase stage," where you'll need to keep up with the Green Goblin as he cruises through the city. He's fast and he occasionally cuts back to throw you of his trail. There's really nothing difficult about this stage; just be sure to hold R1 to swing faster and stay on him.

Before you can begin fighting with the green goblin, you'll need to save Mary Jane. She's on top of the bridge in front of you. Swing over and pick her up, then get her safely to a drop-off zone below. With this accomplished, you'll have no obstacles between you and the Goblin.

You can't hurt the Green Goblin while he's in the air, but you'll need to wear him down so he'll get of his glider. Use your webbing and aerial combat techniques to do this; you'll see him fly to the bridge below to dismount. Drop down to fight him.

The Green Goblin is a very strong fighter..and you'll also have to worry about his glider, which will fly around and attack you on its own. Use your impact webbing (L2+X). His pumpkin bombs are slow and give you plenty time to jump out of the way, and he doesn't move around much, so target and hit him with impact webbing when he starts lobbing bombs. Eventually, Gobby will take to the air again; you'll need to repeat the process of tiring him out and fighting him when he lands. If you need health, you can find a couple of items on the bridge-one is at the very top and another is halfway down the main strut.
