Day 7:
July 8th, 2003

INVERNESS
CITY CENTER

I adore “historical” cities like
Inverness – the way that the
OLD and the NEW
is so intermixed.

That’s
INVERNESS
CASTLE
in the background.

A view from the balcony
of the TOURIST CENTER
where I was to meet
the Loch Ness Tour Bus.
HA! A pic reminiscent
of PARIS in ’73:

The
GOLDEN ARCHES
in downtown
INVERNESS!

(Put your MOUSE on the pic!)

I don’t recall PARIS
having a
WOOLWORTHS
however!
LOL

(Put your MOUSE on the pic!)

“And they call this a TOWNHOUSE! … A TOWNHOUSE!!!
(ala’ GIMLI, regarding the Mines of Moria)

I don’t care WHAT the plaque says.
This structure was NOT originally
a “TOWNHOUSE!”

I’ve got pix of it on the next page
(rear views, taken from behind
and above while I was wandering
about Inverness Castle)
that CLEARLY show it to have
started out as some kind of
Church or Monastery
– perhaps both.

Next DAY SEVEN Pix Options (in order of trip occurrence):
INVERNESS CASTLE PIX
BUS TOUR BITS
LOCH NESS EXHIBIT
CORRIMONY CAIRN & STONE CIRCLE
A HAIRY COO!
URQUHART CASTLE
LOCH NESS CRUISE
