 Welcome to Double H Longhorns! Our family (Stephen, Kim, Kathryn & Matthew Head) has a passion for Texas Longhorns and would love to share this passion with you.

We have been raising Texas Longhorns since 1990, the same year Kathryn was born. The kids and the cattle have grown up together, making for a fun couple of decades. The kids are about grown and getting close to leaving the nest, but we don't plan to slow down any with our cattle interests.

Our primary interest is exhibiting on the Texas Longhorn show circuit. We began showing in 1998 when Kathryn was only eight (8) years old and in the third grade. After Kathryn won her first belt buckle (at the Houston Livestock Show), Matthew decided he wanted to try it. He started as a six (6) year old Kindergartener. Since that time, Kathryn and Matthew have won several Grand Championships and numerous Showmanship buckles.

These photographs were taken at the 2008 TLBAA World Expo. These cows didn't win Grand Champion, but they did place a respectable 2nd and 3rd in their respective classes.

The white cow is Cordys Freckles and the bull calf at side is MH Rex. The calf is owned by Matthew. The red and white cow is JR Proud Mary and the heifer calf at side is KH Bella Grace. Both the cow and calf are owned by Kathryn.
