LP Ropa Jet is the first Grand Champion calf that we raised. We purchased her as a heifer from John & Christy Randolph of Lonesome Pines Ranch as Matthew's first show heifer. A year later, Ropa Jet, with Matthew on the lead rope, won Grand Champion Female at the STLA Youth Show in San Antonio, TX. The success of this heifer was a significant factor in our subsequent interest and involvement in the TLBAA show circuit.

LP Ropa Jet passes on her beautiful tri-color brindle coat to her calves. If you like flashy colored calves, you may want to take a closer look at this cow.

Camo is one of those cows that consistently out produces herself. KH Extreme Eyepatch isn't much to look at, but she is one of those rare cows that outproduces herself with every calf. We haven't sold her because she produced calves good enough for Kathryn to show every year. But with Kathryn gone off to college, we don't need as many show calves each year and Kat needs a little cash, so it is time to let this one go.

KH Extreme Eyepatch comes from our best-milking cow, Trail Jumper 820, and a big, square bull, HD Edge's Extreme, a son of Cindy Dennis' well known sire, HD Leading Edge. This explains why she has such good calves every year - good genes for milking and size.

PC Miss Bonita II is the cow that started it all for Double H Longhorns. We purchased Bonita in August, 1990, from Panther Creek Ranch. Stephen wanted to purchase a unique "Texas" gift for Kim's birthday. Since we are both native Texans and we both graduated from the University of Texas (Hook'em Horns!), it only seemed appropriate that she have her very own UT mascot, an orange and white Texas Longhorn. Little did we know at the time that purchasing this heifer would change our lives so drastically!

Bonita is 20 years old. She had a beautiful heifer calf, SKH Lasting Beauty, in 2007 that we are keeping as her replacement. She currently has a pretty steer at side. He is her 15th calf.
