Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma
Fraternity, Inc. comprises the only
brother and sister Greek letter organizations that are constitutionally
bound. Though this bond is often imitated, to date no other
fraternities and sororities have that distinction
- In 1948 Zeta became the first of the nine
African-American Greek lettered organizations to charter chapters
in Liberia and Sierra Leone in West Africa
- Zeta Phi Beta was the first sorority to
form auxilary groups for non-collegiate women and young girls:
The Zeta Amicae (Friends of Zeta), Archonettes, Amicettes, and
Pearlettes.
