The object of the church shall be:

A. Promote the preaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in order to win people to a personal faith in Him as Savior.

B. Provide for the worship of God and the preaching and teaching of the word of God; Administer the ordinance of the New Testament; And seek the spiritual improvementof our members; To maintain a Christian church; Minister to its own community and extend a ministry of the gospel unto all the earth.

Some beliefs we Cherish

Having our faith(Eph. 2:8-9)firmly fixed in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation(Rom. 10:9-10), believing in the teaching and practices of Baptists and the great distinctive principles for which they have ever stood, namely:

1. The Lordship of Jesus Christ(Mk. 12:30; Rev. 4:11; Acts 2:36).

2. The Bible, the standard of faith and practice ( II Tim. 3:16).

3. Regenerated church memebership (I cor. 1:1-13; Matt. 18:17; Acts 5:11; 8:1; I Cor. 4:17).

4. Believer's baptism by immersion (Acts 2:41-42; Matt 28:19f)

5. Progressive santification(Prov. 4:18; Heb.6:1; I Thes. 4:3; 5:23; IICor.7:1,13:9; Eph.1:4).

6. Soul Competence (or liberty)(II Tim 2:15)

7.Democratic and congregational government(Matt. 23:8; I Peter 5:29).

8. Seperation of church and state (Rom. 13:1-7; Matt.22:21; Acts 5:29).

Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.

And on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

We do now, in the presence of God, angels, and thes assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort.

To promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines.

To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the religiously educate our childten: to seek the salvationof our kindred and aquaintances.

To walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment.

To avoid tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger.

To abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the knigdom of our Savior.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remeber each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech.

To be slow to take offense, buyt always ready for reconcilitation, and mindufl of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as pooible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit fo this covenant and the principles of God's Word.
