The Beginning
A random conversation
From a chance encounter across a room;
A seed is planted
And an eternal bond begins to grow and bloom.
More than just a sounding board
Ever present and always ready to lend an ear.
Listening patiently, being a true friend;
Quietly enduring through many a shed tear.
As always, time has passed
Days turning into months and months into much more than a year.
Emotions uttered and expressed
Resonating crystal clear.
Rendered speechless as mere words cannot adequately describe
How one is embraced so dear.
The sentence may not come easily to express what it truly means,
But three little words are churning beneath the surface waiting for one to hear.
