How to Join

You can join the Port Arthur Youth and Government Organization by contacting the sponsors at either the Memorial HS Senior Campus or the Memorial HS 9th Grade Campus. Announcements are made and signs are posted. Should this not be the case, contact the Port Arthur YMCA, Student Activities Director. They will also help you.


Meetings are usually held on Mondays at the Port Arthur YMCA on 9th Ave. Meetings generally begin at 7:15 PM and last about an hour. These are working meetings and students who are participating will be required to bring all necessary materials. See the sponsors for more information.


The cost of the program varies from year to year but does include the transportation and the noon meal of the student to the District Conference. It also includes the cost of transportation and hotel room at the State Conference in Austin for 3 nights. See the sponsors for more information.
