Halton Who???
We are a small but growing club based in Widnes, a part of the Halton Borough. Originally called Widnes Amateur Swimming club we changed the name to Halton Swimming Club in 2002.
We are a very competitive club and are always looking to achieve higher. We train at Kingsway leisure centre and have a maximum of four sessions (six and half-hours) per week for our top swimmers.
Some of our swimmers have many honours to their names. Some of them have swum in the English Nationals & Irish Nationals, we have two former Liverpool & District captains and one vice captain, many have represented Cheshire on numerous occasions.
As a club in 1990 (Widnes) won the Third Division of the Merseyside & District, then three years later won the Second Division. We are now currently in the First/Premier Division and compete against clubs like Liverpool Penguins, Ormeskirk Otters and Bootle & North Liverpool.
