East Texas Trekkers | Counties Walked | Counties Needed | Lenore's Walk Diary | Email Me

Daingerfield State Park Volksmarch
11/09/2002

View of the lake from the walk start point.

The walk proceeded along the edge of the lake.

The fall colors were wonderful.

An East Texas Trekker was leading the way.

Strange white plants. There were bunches of them in this one spot, didn't see them anywhere else along the trail..

There were places where we had to get over downed trees.

While wandering around looking for the ribbons marking the trail, we joined forces with Keenan and his family.

Keenan is a 1st grader (age 6?). He was a fast mover. I can't believe this picture came out. I was turning trying to keep him in the view finder and got a great shot of him as he ran past me.

Carol was pointing out the ducks on the lake to Keenan.

Carol posed for me in front of this small island in the lake.

Carol getting her book stamped at the finish table.
