Promised Land Dairy
Volksmarch Event
05/04/2002

We walked past the pretty Jersey Cows feeding.

Lots of walkers.

Prickly Pear Cactus in bloom.

Nearing the turn around on what turned out to be the first of three legs of this 10K.

We've lost Lenore.

She's off feeding the cows.

Some of cactus blossoms are red.

Wildflowers along the 2nd leg of the walk.

Lenore took this picture further down the road.

There were boots hung on fenceposts along the 3rd leg of the walk. Anybody know why they do this?

Mabel and friends on the way back in.

Linda and Tom our checkpoint volunteers.

Jennifer and Daniele where both doing their first ever Volksmarch. Well done, and we hope to see you at future events.

The sun had come out and it was getting hot as we finished up the third leg of the 10K.

Looks like a Corvair club made a trip to the dairy.

Is this Ellen and Tom resting at the finish?

Charles was one of our finish table volunteers.

Promised Land Ice Cream Parlor

Baby goat at the petting farm.

Billy goat helped Lenore finish off her ice cream cone.

This pig was soaking in his tub of water. I wasn't quick enough to catch him. He saw me standing there and thought he was going to get fed. He hopped right out and came over to visit.
