My Critters...Scary Huh?

Here is a page about my lil' critters.
I have 9 kitty kats and 1 puppy dog.
They have many qualities that make them so individualistic.
All animals have feelings and emotions just like a human being.
On this page I'll talk about my funny quirks my pets have.
(Don't say I didn't warn you!
LOL!)

Dolly is my puppy dog.
She is a German Shepherd. She has more black on her than any other color!
She is 2yrs old and 14 in people years!
I love Dolly soo very much!
She is VERY smart.
When we first got her she was really skinny and we called her Rat Tail!
We had to keep her away from our kats because they would jump her.
Poor Dolly!
We had put her cage in the front room and blocked her from coming in.
It was by the couch.
At first we didn't have to worry about latching the enterance, because she would just go behind the couch.
So we blocked the back of the couch.
She then figured out how to push the cage out of the way.
So we took her leash and laid it upon the cage door and wrapped the leash around the arm of the couch.
Well, she figured out how to push the latch up with her nose and open the enterance!
So we locked it onto the cage.
BUT, she then started just jumping over the cage and the couch!
LOL!
My brother Joseph taught her how to fetch on command.
He would throw her tennis ball or a vanilla waffer (that's her fav treat) and make her *Stay.
He would then snap his fingers and she would go after it.
It took her about a week to get the trick down.
My bros and I are now trying to teach her to creep up on objects by listening to our commands.
Such as, when we want her to take a step and stop just inches from her toy or other object.
We would then give the command *Closer, Closer.
This command would have her inching ever so close to the prize, but if we want her to back away we would give the command *Too Close, Back Up.
Then HOPEFULLY she will obey the command!
LOL!
I wish I could have a dog up here at college.
If I could I would get a German Shepherd. I think they are the greatest dog to own.

Ok, now about my kitties!
Taffy was the first cat we picked up off the street.
She lived in our neighborhood and was nicknamed Xena the Warrior Kitty, because she would attack people as they walked by.
My family be-friended her and took her in.
Taffy chose my dad as her owner.
My dad had that cat twisted around his finger!
LOL!
Taffy is a grey and white tabby.
She is much sweeter, but still has her "Warrior" side sometimes.

The next cats we got were a brother and sister.
Salem is my kitty and Sabrina is my moms.
We got them from my friend at school.
When we first went to get them, it was soo hard to get them in our carrier!
Salem was a lil sickly and Sabrina was like a lil hissy ball of fluff!
LOL!
My mom and I were to only get one kitten, but we got two.
HEHE!
We kept them in the carrier because they were tiny and we didn't want to step on them!
When it came time for them to go to the litter box, my mom got one out and left the other in the carrier.
My dad didn't notice us taking a kitten from the carrier.
The next thing we heard, while we were letting one of the kittens pee, was my dad saying "This kitten is crying!"
Well, my dad then came back to where my mom and I were and saw the peeing kitten!
OOPS!
My dad was a lil pissed, naturally, but he let us keep both of them!
*Grin
Salem is sooo sweet!
I luv that cat sooo very much!
Salem has a tendency to wait on people to go to the bathroom and will pester that poor sole while they are tryin to do their business.
He also loves to eat raisins!
*Smirk*

Sabrina, well she is just a real sweet cat.
She is real 'lovie-dovie'.
Sabrina is part manecoon and is really fuzzy.
She used to have a lil 'witch nose' when she was a kitten.
LOL!
She doesn't seem to be very outgoing towards the rest of my family, but she does cling to my mom like a piece of fluff!
LOL!

Rowdy is my lil bro Patrick's cat.
He is black and white and P-H-A-T!
LOL!
He is very funny and acts like a clown!
Rowdy is a reeeaally kool kat!
He has a lil face on the bottom of his back right paw.
The pads on his foot are pink except for 2 black spots which look like eyes.
When you turn his foot upside down it looks like an old man with a long nose!
LOL!
He is a moocher!
(Moocher = begger of food)
Joseph taught him how to get his own treats out of his little carton.
Well, actually after a few times of my bro closing the carton of treats on Rowdy's paw, he learned to reach in as fast as he could and grab a treat with his claw.
That is a pic of him at the top of the page.

Okiee, almost done!
Whew!
*Wipes forehead
Missy is part manecoon just like Sabrina, but Missy is a tortie.
(she is a grey calico)
She is like a parrot.
In other words she likes to lay on people's shoulders and on the back of their necks.
She is VERY talkative and loves to help the family do chores around the house.
Her fav chore is doing the laundry.
I guess because the stuff is really warm and cozy!
LOL!

And the newest member to our family is Tuffy.
He is a black and white long haired cat.
He was in a litter of kittens that lived under our 1972 Javeline.
Our family would feed them everyday.
We have Mamma Kitty, Buffy, and Lexi over at my grandmother's house, because there is no room for them at our house.
We did have another kitten in the litter that I liked alot, but unfortunately she got hit by a car.
Her name was Fluffy.
I wish she was still around.

Well!
That pretty much covers my lil critters!
*Grin
REMEMBER: Critters choose the person, and not the other way 'round!
:P
